Getting a Care for Man, Charo Sy

I'm a Chinese-Filipino born and raised in the Philippines. In my junior year in high school I received the Lord. Six months after I got saved I read a message about consecration. Soon after that I consecrated myself to the Lord to s4erve Him with my full time. Because of this consecration I set my heart and directed my plans to come to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim.

Twelve years later I ended up in Anaheim signing up for the Full-Time Training. After some years of struggles and breaking through some barriers, I was able to come to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim. My time here in the training has been a wonderful learning experience. I'm certain it will be the best two years of my life.

Here in the FTTA we are being trained in Bible truth, in experiencing Christ as life, in practical service, in preaching the gospel, and also in our character. It is here in the training where I received a heart and a burden to take care of people, whether believer or unbelievers. In this training I realized that God has such a broad caring heart that loves man (1 John 4:16). God loves man. It is also through men who have the same heart as God for man that His heart's desire can be fulfilled, that is He can save people and with these people build up the Body of Christ (1 Timothy 2:3-4; Ephesians 4:15-16). After seeing this in the training my only response was to give myself to the Lord and pray, “Lord, make my heart the same as Your heart. Give me a heart that loves man.” A few years ago I would not even care for the things of God; but now after being in the training I have received such a desire to care not only for things of God but especially for God and for the things in His heart. Isn't it amazing that two years in such a training can produce such a desire in somebody like me?
